Memories of Old Clients and What They Said About Samvadiya

Posted by Seema Sawhney on

My love for paper has resulted in an obsession with cards and invitations! I love designing them and they have played an important part in my artistic journey. About 15 years ago, when I started designing wedding invitations,
I had no idea this craze will last so long.

So the other day, I was reading some of my reviews from clients, many many years ago. Truly, they fueled the enthusiasm in me to carry this on. Their words more than anything have been my energy.

I designed these save the dates for a beautiful bride. Although it was a simple design but it turned out so beautiful. These were coordinated with metallic envelopes and a screen printed patterned brown brocade envelope liner which took this to another level.

A bride who bought these Save the dates in 2018 said:
"I'm obsessed with my save the dates! Seema was so amazing to work with. She helped me customize every detail and was extremely patient. Can't thank you enough for all of your help!!"

Allison was on of my very early clients in year 2010, She had a unique idea when she could not choose between 2 very beautiful cover papers - Umber, shown below and Olive.
She just bought half the invites with Umber and half with Olive! Coordinated so beautifully with this enchanted forest design.

Allison in 2010, said:

"I has a wonderful experience working with Samvadiya! Thank so much. The customer service was excellent - I made so many changes and last minute requests and Seema always emailed me back promptly..."

Ameeta ordered these pretty booklets from overseas. These bridged the cultural gap between a Hindu and Christian wedding for the guests as it described both the ceremonies in detail for those attending.

Ameeta said:

"I just wanted to send you a quick message to let you know I received the booklets and they are absolutely perfect. I am over the moon with these booklets"

Nihal bought these elephant design folders and cards. I was myself surprised how beautiful these turned out when we made them.

Nihal said:
"Love them! The colors are vivid and the presentation was on point. Wasn’t expecting the inside lining to not be stuck to the outside paper on the flap but it’s not an issue."

Deepa ordered these dancing Ganesha invites in 2016 and she was so delighted when she got the package that she had to call me.

Deepa said in 2016:

"Received my package. And those are absolutely beautiful and definitely made me really really happy. Thank you so much for doing this in such a short notice and giving me such an amazing invitation card"

In 2018 we also had a client that we could not please. Sometimes brides have expectation that cannot be fulfilled.

Shobhna and Brian had many emotions which they expressed as:
"There is plenty more to say, but I've said my peace. Your argumentative nature is proof enough. Good luck!"

It is true that it takes two to tango. We cannot do a great job without our clients being reasonable and understanding our limits. However, I don't discount that there perhaps is still something for me to learn. I wish I could do better and make this end differently.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart: Allison, Ameeta, Deepa, Nihal, Shobhna and many many more who I did not name here, for crossing my path and making this journey worthwhile!

Love,

Seema Sawhney
